Three distinct additions to Brocton Central School District include the construction of a two-story, 19,600 square foot secondary addition to the original building, yet keeps one foot firmly planted in the present day.
An 18,500 square foot, light-filled physical-education addition includes a gymnasium, locker rooms and a lobby/concession area. It links the classroom addition to the existing natatorium.
A third addition is an eight classroom, one story extension of the elementary wing totaling about 9,000 square feet of new construction. A new bus garage facility of 13,200 square feet includes wash bays, service and office areas, and accommodates 12 buses.
Major interior alterations to the existing building, including mechanical, electrical, fiber-optic data and cabling upgrades, create new science and computer classrooms, an elementary library, distance learning lab, weight room, technology lab and administrative offices. Significant alterations also have been made to enhance handicapped accessibility. Exterior renovations included masonry restoration, window replacement and roof reconstruction.
Site improvements included new tennis courts, playing fields, bleachers, a press box and scoreboard, improved site drainage, new bus loops, dropoff lanes, parking areas and sidewalks.

COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTER - Irving, New York
Seneca Nation of Indians
New construction of state-of-the-art 35,000 s.f. 2-story health and wellness center. The center design incorporates "green" building technology through the use of a cool day lighting scheme, energy efficient heat recovery units and recyclable finish materials. The building will house offices for the Seneca Nation Health Department's Child & Family Services and Human Services departments, as well as an incubator wellness center.

FREWSBURG MIDDLE/ HIGH SCHOOL - Frewsburg, New York
Featured in American School & University - November 2002
A landscaped Memory Garden, surrounded by canopied entrances, designates the new community entrance to Frewsburg Central School where architects created a state-of-the-art library/ media center, gymnasium, and lobby as part of major additions and alterations completed in 2001. Energy efficient and technologically advanced learning spaces including distance learning, industrial arts technology center, and science rooms were added and upgrades were made to the pool, cafeteria and kitchen. Maintenance projects included window replacement, masonry rehabilitation, and the complete replacement of the central heating plant.

PACKARD MANOR - Chautauqua, New York
Residential Design Award: 2001 Buffalo/WNY AIA Design Awards
By design, all additions and renovations to the historic Tudor style mansion including historic detailing, handicapped accessibility, and state-of-the-art building and communications systems looks as if it were part of the original 1917 design. Grand antiques, gilded moldings, spacious bathrooms, dramatic lake views disguise the amenities that bring this estate into the 21st Century.
Newly designed site planning and landscaping recreate a stately approach to the manor, while providing some screening from adjacent properties. A grand stair provides easy access as well as a formal approach to Chautauqua Lake. Innovative design was introduced in attic "staff quarters", a new kitchen with dining terrace, and a spa area in the basement.

BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE - Buffalo, New York
Honorable Mention: 2001 Buffalo/WNY AIA Design Awards
A 12,000 square foot addition and major alterations to a 1960s Modern Era building tranformed an existing dark and chaotic interior space into a naturally lit, welcoming social space that accomodates a Barnes & Noble Bookstore, coffee shop and reading area. New energy efficient lighting, skylights, and high clerestory windows allow for an exchange of light both inward during the day as well as outward in the evening.
For the necessary additional space, architects designed a curved exterior wall that eases into a corner of the campus' main quadrangle. A wall of windows and columns directs a strong pedestrian flow to a monumental entry way.
